Yakiniku train in Matsusaka

As mentioned in the story below, I went on a business trip to Matsusaka, got sick, stayed overnight, and went to Ise.

After that, thanks to Ise Udon, my health started to improve.

So, I decided to go to a Matsusaka beef shop, which I used to visit whenever I had a chance on my business trips. I wanted my wife to taste it by all means

Matsusaka beef is one of the top three Japanese delicious beaf brands. By the way, the top three are said to be:
・Matsusaka beef
・Kobe beef
・Omi beef

“Rotating Yakiniku ‘Ichishobin’ Miyagawa Store”

A “Ichi-sho-bin” refers to a bottle with a volume of “one sho”. Sho is an old Japanese volume unit, with one sho are about 1.8L (in other words, sho is similar to a Japanese gallon, but half the size ).
It is mainly used for standard bottles of sake.

In the town of Matsusaka, famous for Matsusaka beef, there is a shop called “Ichishobin” where you can hear delicious grilled meat. There are revolving and non-revolving shops in Ichishobin, and the revolving shops are on the reasonable route, but they are still much tastier than the beef I usually eat.

It’s fun to rotate, and it’s cheap for the taste. I wanted to share this joy as an excuse.

The feature of this shop is the “revolving lane”. The meat is flowing down the lane like a conveyor belt sushi. It is cooled properly so that the meat does not spoil, and when you press the button, the door opens for a certain time and you can get the meat.

About 300 to 700 yen worth of meat is divided into small portions and flows, so you can quickly pick what you want to eat and cook it on the table stove.

Matsusaka beef ribs. These three pieces cost about 700 yen, so it’s expensive… but it’s delicious. I was surprised.

Of course, there are also meats that are not Matsusaka beef, and hormones are quite affordable.

I couldn’t eat from the middle… but it was good that my wife was able to eat a lot.

Well, the bill came to about 9,000 yen. But even near my house, if you eat at a high-end yakiniku restaurant, it will cost this much, and the taste is definitely better here. It’s something only local places can do.

9,000yen = 60usd
