It’s important to properly secure the ribbon cable stopper on the iMate-S.(2)

The 3D printer Qidi i-MateS was not doing well, the extruder was replaced and it was settled.

But relapse.

However, when they forgot about it, the printing defects started to reappear.

The problem had subsided with the replacement, but we wondered if the newer extruder had also developed a problem.
We decided to repair the old extruder for now.

In fact, when the old extruder was removed, I had noticed that the solder was cracked. The solder was cracked.

It is difficult to see in a still image, but it can be seen visually when viewed from different angles.
When enlarged, it looks like this.

So I took the solder off and re-soldered it. (A bit out of focus).

This will stop the old extruder from going out of temperature… I thought.

But then I looked closer and saw that this one says EI_HOT and the end it’s connected to looks like a heater.

Touching the cable changes the temperature.

So I put the repaired extruder on the machine and switched it on, and it seemed to work fine for the time being, so I tried to feed the filament, but for some reason it was reluctant to feed. I tried to feed the filament, but for some reason it was reluctant to feed.

When I looked closely, I noticed that the temperature was suspiciously high, and furthermore, when I touched the ribbon cable, the temperature changed and went over 1000°C. Was this…

I thought it was a problem with the temperature of the build plate, but in fact it was due to the cable being pinched as the head moved to the outer circumference.

The head originally had a hook to fix the cable so that the tension of the cable is not applied to the connector, but it seems to have somehow been forgotten as the theory was repeated many times.

So, I made sure to fasten the cable properly and the trouble went away.

The print quality in the corner is still somewhat poor… well, this is probably a separate issue.
